Benson Funeral Home

Services

Among the decisions that need to be made at the time of arrangements are those concerning visitations or services at which friends and loved ones gather to honor the life of the deceased. Some items which will be discussed at the time of arrangements include…

– Final Disposition (options include earth burial,
entombment, cremation and interment of cremated remains)

– Cemetery for burial

– Day, time and location of visitation and/or services

– Luncheon/Fellowship

– Musical selections and those who might be asked to
  participate musically in the service

– Scripture, poetry or other readings which may be
appropriate in honoring your loved one

– Names of casketbearers and honorary casketbearers

– Military Honors if a veteran

With a memorial service or funeral service, we offer a video tribute. We use your own unique photos and weave them together with tasteful background music to produce a custom video on DVD that will be viewable on any monitor throughout the service. This pictorial tribute, celebrating the memories of a lifetime, will be a cherished memorial for years to come. Additional copies of the video may be ordered for family and friends. It will also be available for viewing on your personal obituary page on our website.

Grief Support Grief Support

The death of a loved one is the single most stressful event that can happen to a person. The intensity, the amount of grief, the duration of the grieving periods, and the behaviors one uses to express grief can vary greatly from one person to another and from situation to situation.

The staff at Benson Funeral Home understands that grief does not end with the funeral. Our care does not end there either. We will continue to care about you, and we are here to help you throughout your grieving process. The grieving process is a period of time which may involve feelings of sadness, fear, anger, regret and loneliness. Through supportive listening these feelings can be transformed into hope and healing.

Benson Funeral Home offers the support of an on staff grief specialist. Bonnie Stachowski is available to listen to you and support you through phone calls and in-home visits.
