Facility

In 1981 our facility was built on 25th Avenue South. The new location features two chapels, single-level handicapped-accessibility, and generous parking. Benson was one of the first funeral homes in the state to offer on-site crematory facilities.

In 2001, the facility was completely remodeled. The building was expanded and new, more convenient entrances and additional parking were added. With an eye to the future, we continue to make plans to ensure that those who visit will find our facility to be welcoming and comfortable.

Tours and Education

In addition to serving individuals and families, we welcome civic, educational or religious groups to tour our facility. Our staff is available to speak on a number of topics related to the sometimes difficult and awkward subjects of death and surviving, funerals and cremation, and what to expect when making arrangements and why prearrangements are growing in popularity. Although we encourage groups to visit the funeral home, we are also willing to speak to your group at a place which is more convenient for its members.

Whether we are sitting with a family in an arrangement conference, conducting a tour for a Confirmation class, or talking to a group at a senior citizens’ center about the importance of pre-planning, we are committed to providing the people of the Central Minnesota area with accurate, useful information.
