Tammy Sue Torkelson, 53

St. Cloud, MN

December 15, 1971 – July 1, 2025

Tammy S. Torkelson, age 53, passed away on July 1, 2025, at the St. Cloud Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. There will be a memorial service for Tammy on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Graham United Methodist Church in Rice, MN. Visitation starting at 10 a.m. will be followed by a service at 11 a.m.

Born on December 15, 1971, Tammy graduated from Milaca High School in 1990 and went on to earn an associate degree in bookkeeping. She was known for her caring, generous, and thoughtful nature, qualities that touched the lives of many around her.

Tammy shared over 25 years with her devoted partner, Troy Coleman. Together they raised their children, Marianna Coleman (22) and Josef Coleman (19).

Tammy loved crocheting handmade treasures for friends and family. She was talented at many hand crafts and enjoyed any kind of cooking show. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Solar Sound Marching Band. But more than anything she loved the time she spent with her family and friends. Tammy’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed. 

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Diane Torkelson, of St. Cloud; her partner, Troy Coleman, of Albany; her children, Marianna Coleman, and Josef Coleman, of Albany; her siblings, Kimberly (Jon) Bergstrom of Yorktown VA, Thomas (Cecilia De Paoli) Torkelson of Clayton NC, and Michael Torkelson of Starbuck MN; as well as many cherished cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Roger Torkelson, and son, Allen Coleman.
