Margaret A. Imholte, 80
Waite Park
December 16, 1945 – October 5, 2026
Margaret “Maggie” Anne Imholte, age 80, of Waite Park, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, October 5th, 2026, surrounded by family in the St. Cloud Hospital.
Maggie was born on December 16th, 1945, in Rockville, MN to John and Margaret (Terres) Menden. She married Gerald “Jerry” Imholte on May 29th, 1969, and together they built a life raising their three children.
Maggie and Jerry made their home in Kimball, Minnesota, where they owned and operated J&M Mini Mart, a local convenience store, until their retirement in 1996. They enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Leech Lake and escaping the cold Minnesota winters in Texas before eventually settling in Waite Park.
Maggie was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to make those around her laugh. There was almost always a song on her lips, whether she was singing or simply humming in the background. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, staying up late watching movies and home decorating shows, and never passing up a good shopping trip. She was also known for making the best chicken salad and her love for just about any kind of gummy candy. It was these little things, along with her humor and personality, that made Maggie so special to those who knew her.
Maggie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerald “Jerry” Imholte of Waite Park; children, Julie (Mark) Maier of St. Cloud, Jeff (Kristy) Imholte of South Haven, and Michael “Mike” (Jill Aleshire) Imholte of Ham Lake; grandchildren Mathew (Sarah Roach) Mayavski of St. Cloud, Ava (Gabe Bulfer) Imholte of Anoka, and Lexi (Brandon VanHorn) Imholte of Mounds View; and great-granddaughters Amelia Mayavski and Rozella Margaret VanHorn
Maggie will be deeply missed, but her laughter, love, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
