    James “Jim” H. Gregory, 66
    St. Cloud, MN
    December 17, 1955 – December 28, 2021
James “Jim” Howard Gregory, age 66, St. Cloud, MN, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the St. Cloud Eastside VFW Post #4847. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Jim was born December 17, 1955 in St. Cloud, MN to Kenneth M. and Verna D. (Conrad) Gregory. He married Kim Dutton on September 1, 2001 in St. Cloud, MN. Jim was employed as an orthotic/prosthetic technician in the St. Cloud area. He was a member of the St. Cloud Eastside VFW Post #4847 Auxiliary.
Jim was very generous to his children. You couldn’t visit Dad without coming home with something, maybe a tool, a new coat, or a movie. He was an avid movie watcher and loved the class "B" movies even more. Jim enjoyed being outside unless it was too hot... or too cold, or too windy. He was always tinkering, whether it was on home improvement projects or helping his family and friends with their homes and cars. He had a soft spot for animals. Both in Willow River and when he moved back to St. Cloud, he would always put out food and water for stray cats, and it even got competitive with his neighbor (and mother-in-law) to be the preferred feeding yard for the squirrels. Jim was passionate and opinionated, especially when it came to music and politics. He had a wealth of knowledge on just about anything and his words of wisdom will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Gregory of St. Cloud, MN; children, Jim Gregory of St. Joseph, MN; Tony Gregory of St. Cloud, MN; Ben Gregory of Leader, MN; Devin (fiancé Dustin Montgomery) Gall of St. Cloud, MN; and Quincy “Bailey” Gregory of St. Cloud, MN; siblings, Richard (Bay) Gregory of St. Paul, MN; Brian (Debbie Schlangen) Gregory of Cold Spring, MN; Jeff Gregory of St. Cloud, MN; Mark Gregory of South Haven, MN; Jeani (Ed Cooney) Kowitz of Glendale, AZ; Barb Gregory of Colorado Springs, CO; Carol (Fred) Duke of Burtrum, MN; Mary (Wayne) Laudenbach of St. Augusta, MN; and Lori (Lee) Ebhert of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Gregory.
