    June 13, 1951 - September 28, 2021
    Gerard ‘Jerry’ Lee Loehrer, age 70, of Sartell, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held from Noon to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Benson Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted at 2:00PM. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN at a later date. Arrangements are with the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. The family requests that all in attendance wear masks.
    Jerry Lee Loehrer was born on June 13, 1951 in St. Cloud, MN to Clarence and Laila (Brown) Loehrer. Jerry graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1969. He served in the Army National Guard before joining the US Air Force in 1971. On March 4, 1972, Jerry was united in marriage to Faye M. Eberhardt at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Following Jerry’s discharge from the Air Force, they made their home in Minnesota. Jerry completed training as an insurance agent and worked for Banker’s Life and Casualty before becoming a supplemental security insurance claims representative with the Social Security Administration. Jerry retired from the social security administration in 2013. Jerry and Faye enjoy playing Euchre and spent several days a week meeting with others to play. He was also an active member of St. Cloud Eagles Aerie 622.
    Jerry is survived by his wife, of almost 50 years, Faye of Sartell, MN; brother, Clarence ‘CJ’ Loehrer of St. Cloud, MN; sisters-in-law, Denise MaKarrall of Sartell, MN, and Dawn (David) Lerch of Rice, MN. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Brian, Wayne and Gary Eberhardt, and Michael MaKarrall.
