My condolences to all of Loren’s family and siblings. I went to school with Loren thru our 12 grades – country and high schools. He provided many laughs thru-out our years. Another loss of the “Padua” community! Take care.

Loren Philip Streff, age 72, of Hastings, MN passed away surrounded by his family on August 21, 2026, following an illness, at St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Loren was born on December 16, 1953, in Le Mars, IA to Bob and Phyllis Streff. He moved with his parents and siblings to a farm in rural Sauk Centre, MN, near Padua, and later made his home in Hastings, MN.
Loren graduated from Brooten High School in 1972. On September 4, 1976, he married Mary Lou Jensen in Padua, MN. Together they began their married life in Inver Grove Heights where Loren attended community college. They later moved outside of Hastings, MN where they built a home and started an Elk Hobby Farm. Loren worked for 25 years as a supervisor for ProAct.
Loren’s life was shaped by his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, and the many chapters he shared with Mary Lou and their children. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Loren is survived by his wife Mary Lou Streff; daughter, Jody (Ben Crisp) Streff; son, Cole Streff; grandchildren, Jack and Lincoln Crisp and Brynlee and Eva Streff; as well as his siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Phyllis Streff.
A Celebration of Loren’s life will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Padua Pub, 33945 Co Rd 18, Sauk Centre, MN.
