     Christopher Agostino Astorino, age 30, Rochester, MN died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Life Assembly of God Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
     Christopher was born August 2, 1981 in St. Cloud, MN to Salvatore and Diane S. (LaVine) Astorino. He was a graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School. Christopher served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Howard. He currently worked as a broker/manager for Colonial Insurance Company in Rochester, MN. Christopher was a member of Paradise Church in Rochester, MN.
     Survivors include his father, Salvatore (Carol) Astorino of St. Cloud, MN; mother, Diane S. (Dean) LaVine-Schultz of Fairbault, MN; brothers, Jessiah (Shannon) Astorino of Rochester, MN; Sgt. Timothy Astorino, serving in the US Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Pendelton, Oceanside, CA; PO2 Adam Astorino, serving in the US Navy, stationed at Honolulu, HI; Matthew Astorino of Rochester, MN: step brothers; James Scherer of Moorhead, MN; Aaron Scherer of St. Cloud, MN; paternal grandmother, Rachele Rosiello of Mamaroneck, NY; step maternal grandparents, Wayne and Virginia McCoy of Detroit Lakes, MN; niece and nephews, Shakur, Nora and Vincent Astorino; and many aunts and uncles.
     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Astorino and maternal grandparents, Mary and Jack LaVine.
     Pallbearers will be Jessiah, Timothy, Adam and Matthew Astorino, and Aaron and James Scherer.
