Margaret “Peg” Viola Lundgren, age 84, formerly of St. Cloud, MN, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Peg was born November 11, 1926 in Alexandria, MN to Merle and Viola (Shippy) Westerfeld. She married Elwood “Woody” Lundgren on August 1, 1948 in Alexandria, MN. Peg worked as a nurse for Dr. Ted Dedolph for 33 years and also for Midsota Plastic Surgeons. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church and a member of Alanon for over 46 years.
Survivors include daughters and son, Charlene (Michael) Krafnick of Ocean Springs, MS; Pamela (Louis) Palmersten of St. Cloud, MN; Jeffrey (Cindy) Lundgren of Zimmerman, MN; Susan (Roy) Schwarze of Alexandria, MN; brother, Merle Westerfeld, Jr. of Tampa, FL; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woody, on February 4, 1983 and sister, Kathryn Anderson.
Memorials are preferred.
