     Karla K. Knoll, 46, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Longmont, CO.
     A Mass celebrating the life of Karla will be Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Christ Church Newman Center, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral arrangements made by Benson Funeral Home.
     Karla was born January 19, 1965 in Minneapolis, MN to David and Judy (Brewer) Knoll. She was baptized at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Shakopee, MN and later confirmed her faith at St. Peters Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Karla graduated from Apollo High School in 1983. She attended St. Cloud State University and Mankato State University, pursuing a degree in social work. Karla participated in a study abroad program while in college and this sparked her desire to travel. Karla loved to travel and visited many countries including Denmark, the Canary Islands, Poland, Ireland, England, France, Panama, Argentina, Africa, Canada and Mexico and always had plans for new places to visit.
     Karla in her youth was very involved in the St. Peter's Young Life youth group, as well as Silver Cliff one year she went as a participant. Loving the program so much she returned the next year as a counselor. As she grew older she still loved people and travel. Karla became a world-class bartender, a wonderful photographer and artist with leather working, a business supervisor, and investor. She was a loving charismatic free spirit who touched everyone she knew with joy. Karla was a beloved daughter and sister.
     She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her mother, Judy Knoll of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Dan (Michelle) Knoll of St. Cloud, MN; nephews and niece, Michael Cheyne -Knoll of St. Cloud, MN; Kristopher R. Knoll of St. Cloud, MN; Amelia M. Carter-Knoll of St. Cloud, MN and many other family members and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father in 1971.
