Karen C. Zezoney, 55, St. Cloud, MN died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at her home after a 13 year battle with breast cancer.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 23, 2004 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Steve Binsfeld will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 22, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be 7:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Karen Zezoney was born October 28, 1948 in Wausau, WI to Orville and Clara (Baumann) Christian. She married Frank Zezoney on July 12, 1975 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from University of Wisconsin at Madison and received her masters degree from Rollins College in teacher education. She taught elementary school in St. Cloud and then at Rainbow Preschool for 8 years. Karen was a member of the Faculty Wives at St. Cloud State University, the Music and Arts Committee at Cathedral High School, the Gymnastics Booster Club in St. Cloud, and a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral where she was involved in Christian Mothers and was active in parish work, parish bazaar and other fund raisers. Karen expressed her love of children, especially through her teaching.
Survivors include husband, Frank Zezoney of St. Cloud; son and daughters, Daniel Zezoney of St. Cloud, MN, Alley Zezoney of San Jose, CA and Annie Zezoney of Miami, FL; mother, Clara B. Christian of Appleton, WI; brother, Richard Christian of Appleton, WI.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1999.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
