Lorraine Gertrude Henkemeyer, age 93, Sartell, MN, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 PM Tuesday at the church in Sartell. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Sartell, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Lorraine was born April 18 1917 in St. Joseph, MN to Charles and Catherine (Hirschfeld) Stock. She married Carl Henkemeyer on May 25, 1937 in St. Joseph, MN. Lorraine was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was a member of the St. Anthony’s Mission Group and St. Monica’s Christian Women. Lorraine also worked in the school kitchen for several years.
Survivors include sons, Roger (Marjorie) Henkemeyer of St. Joseph, MN; Ronald (Elaine) Henkemeyer of Sauk Rapids, MN; James (Darlene) Henkemeyer of St. Cloud, MN; Kevin Henkemeyer of Sartell, MN; brother, Melvin Stock of South St. Paul, MN; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl, on April 10, 1997, brother, Elmer Stock, and two sisters, Geneva Lodermeier and Rosella Troje.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home and staff and Heartland Hospice Care and staff for their compassionate care of Lorraine. |
