     Roman John Lehmeier Jr., age 82, St. Cloud, MN, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be (TODAY) Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 PM TODAY at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Roman was born December 4, 1928 in St. Cloud, MN to Roman and Martha (Baron) Lehmeier, Sr. He married Grace Weiman on July 6, 1957 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Roman was employed by Stearns Manufacturing for 32 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
     Roman had a passion for music with playing the accordion, harmonica and guitar. In his younger days he also loved to hunt and fish. Roman also enjoyed watching and feeding birds and wild life. He loved to joke and make people laugh. Roman worked on small engines and invented little gadgets to make life easier. Most of all Roman loved the times when his grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit.
     Survivors include his wife, Grace Lehmeier of St. Cloud, MN; son, John Lehmeier of Luxemburg, MN; daughters, LuAnn (Peter) Harren of Rockville, MN; and Brenda Lehmeier of St. Cloud, MN; brother and sisters, Eugene Lehmeier of Cold Spring, MN; Rosemary (Matthew) Wagner of St. Cloud, MN; Mildred (Hilbert) Senzek of St. Cloud, MN; Dorothy (Arthur) Kalla of St. Cloud, MN; three grandchildren, Joshua (Roxie Woitalla) Lehmeier, Nicholas (Monica Good) Harren, and Ashley (John “Ali”) Albers; four great grandchildren, Madison and Brooklyn Albers, Alex Harren and Isabelle Lehmeier; and one who was dear to him as a grandchild, Morgan Zirbes Novak.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Mary Lehmeier on May 7, 1986, grandson Joseph Hoskins, and brother, George Lehmeier.
