Jeff was born October 18, 1964 in Moorhead, MN to Jack and Angeline (Just) Stice. He attended Dilworth High School and after a family move, graduated from high school in St. Cloud, MN. Jeff attended and later graduated from St. Cloud State College with a degree in Computer Science and Communication. Jeff served four honorable years, from 1985 to 1989, in the United States Army, serving stateside and in Germany. Jeff was employed for many years with IBM in Rochester, MN and later moved to Monticello and was employed with United Health Care.
Jeff was a gentle hearted and loving fiancé, dad and grandpa, a devoted son and caring brother. He especially enjoyed time in the outdoors, fishing, fishing and fishing. These special outings often included Jeff’s fiancé, Tao and his daughters, Jamie and Maggie and brother, Mike. Jeff also invited his mother on family trips to Minnesota lake cabins for a week of enjoyment for several years. Jeff genuinely enjoyed time spent with his family whether together or on the phone. He often shared his talents, such as providing nephew, Jason with the means to learn guitar, by providing electric guitars and amplifier. “Jamming” with Jason, and brother, Mike, were treasures that were often shared with the whole family. At Mom’s he would sing to familiar hymns that his fiancé, Tao would pick out on the piano, until joined by the rest of the family for harmony and shared time on the piano, guitar, or whatever instrument could be played or imagined. Jeff appreciated God’s creation and some travel, but most often enjoyed time at home, at work and with loved ones. His gentle manner and warm love for family will always be cherished.
Jeff is survived by his fiancé, Tao Zhang of Plymouth, MN; daughters, Maggie Stice of St. Cloud, MN; Jamie (Luke Lamecker) Larsen of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Mike (Elly) Stice of Cold Spring, MN: sisters, Sheryl (Dennis) Bengtson of Little Falls, MN; Cindy Stice of Lawrenceville, GA; one grandchild, Ayva Marie; six nieces and nephews, Mikey (Rowena) Stice, Leah (fiancé Dan Spoden) Stice; Jason Stice; and Jonathan (Sarah) Bengtson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Beverly Ann and beloved aunts and uncles.
