     Wayne E. Remus, age 76, St. Cloud, MN died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be Monday, August 16, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
     Wayne Remus was born January 7, 1928 in Princeton, MN to Edward H. and Clara (Arnhold) Remus. Wayne was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Princeton, MN, were he was a member until moving to St. Cloud, MN. Wayne served in the US Army from 1946 to 1947. He married Loraine J. Bergemann on April 2, 1950 in Mankato, MN. Wayne worked for Greyhound Bus Company, US Postal Service in Princeton, where he was their first foot carrier, and then as a tour bus driver for Voigt’s Bus Service, St. Cloud. Wayne was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, and the Princeton American Legion Post # 216 where he was past Commander. Wayne was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed woodworking in his retirement, and traveling through out the United States and Sweden.
     Survivors include wife, Loraine Remus of St. Cloud, MN; sons and daughters: Maureen (Jim) Bartz of Princeton, MN; Craig (Maley) Remus of Princeton, MN; Stuart (Jean) Remus of Shoreview, MN; Paulette (Michael) Coughlin of Aurora, CO; Peter (Kristi) Remus of Becker, MN; brothers and sisters: Allan (Lavon) Remus of Princeton, MN; Dennis (Joyce) Remus of Orr, MN; Grace Fox of Santiago, MN; Janice (Merle) Gamm of Eden Prairie, MN; 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Marsha L. Lee on January 17, 1990 and granddaughter, Anna Remus on September 12, 1980.
