Dorothy S. Zenzen, age 85, Becker, MN formerly of Waite Park, MN, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Shepherd of Grace Senior Community, Becker, MN.
A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Dorothy was born March 9, 1925 in Avon, MN to Joseph and Dora (Meyer) Achman. She married Ervin Zenzen on November 28, 1946 in Avon, MN. They divorced in 1968. Dorothy was employed by St. Cloud Technical High School as head cook for 19 years, retiring June 2, 1989. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Waite Park and St. Cloud VFW Post #428 Auxiliary.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Louis (Pat) Zenzen of Fremont, CA; Linda (Michael) Novotny of Ham Lake, MN; Thomas (Gladys) Zenzen of Rogers, AR; Michael Zenzen of St. Augusta, MN; and Barbara (Kevin) Henry of Zimmerman, MN; brother and sister, Ervin Achman of St. Cloud, MN and Jean (Ted) Morgel of St. Paul Park, MN; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Arthur, Lawrence and Harold Achman, and two sisters, Alice Achman and Harriet Spohn.
