Matthew “Matty” John Kizer, age 23, Alexandria, MN, died unexpectedly at the St. Cloud Hospital on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Matthew was born on November 1, 1987 in Litchfield, MN to Dennis and Peggy (Berg) Kizer. At the age of 10 he moved with his family to Alexandria, MN where he attended school. Matthew as interested in life in general, especially woodworking, ice fishing, riding horses and worked as a cook. He was dedicated to his mother and as a youth spent many happy times with his maternal grandmother at the lake and playing cards.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy Kizer of Alexandria, MN; father, Dennis Kizer of Houston, TX; sisters, Andrea King of Clear Lake, MN; Aliccia (Dion) Fischer of Detroit, MI; brothers, Aaron (Mary) Bollig of Sartell, MN; Lucus (Alexis) Kizer of Little Falls, MN; and Zachary Kizer of Austin, TX; three nephews, Lucus, Jr. and Caedan Kizer and Alex King; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Berg of Waite Park, MN; aunt, Vickie MacDonald of Lake Chelan, WA; uncles, Terry Berg of St. Cloud, MN; Grant (Rosella) Berg of Groton, CT; Bryan (Joan) Berg of Sartell, MN; Bradley (Carleen) Berg of Watkins, MN and eleven cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Berg, and paternal grandparents, Eugene and Sarah Kizer and one cousin.
