Matilda C. Resseman, age 96, Sartell, MN, formerly of St. Cloud, MN, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Waite Park, MN. Visitation will be Monday, October 18, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Waite Park, MN.
Matilda was born March 29, 1914 in Beaulieu, MN to Joseph and Mary (Albers) Athman. She married Joseph A. Resseman on November 25, 1939 in Avon, MN. Matilda was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Waite Park.
Survivors include sons and daughter, Richard J. Resseman of Burnsville, MN; Alan M. Resseman of Reva, VA; Annette (Charlie) Vise of Sauk Rapids, MN; brother and sister, Alfred Athman of Foley MN; Lydia (Bernard) Rausch of Cold Spring, MN; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph, on June 15, 1993, three brothers, Richard, Rudolph and Herbert Athman, and three sisters, Marietta Athman, Rita Lauer, and Julia Goerss.
