Cora Becker, age 98, died peacefully with her family by her side on August 19, 2010.
Cora was born in Richmond, MN on June 18, 1912 to Herman & Anna (Kemper) Torborg.
She married Leo N. Becker on May 17, 1947 in Richmond. Leo & Cora owned and operated Becker Shoe Repair in Richmond. They retired to Longville, MN, in 1976 where they spent 20 wonderful years before moving back to Richmond in 1997.
Cora will be remembered for her absolute love of the Minnesota Twins, her beautiful embroidery, her remarkable memory and playing the organ.
She is survived by her son, Ted (Ione) of Cold Spring; her grandson Dan (Julia) and great-grandson, Caleb of Minneapolis; her grandson Nathan of Richfield; and her sister, Dorothy Brisse of Cold Spring.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; infant daughter, Mary; 11 siblings; and her parents.
Visitation will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond on August 30th, 2010 starting at 9:00 am with the mass following at 11:00 am.
Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
