Steven Richard Medeck, age 59, St. Cloud, MN died Thursday, July 29, 2010, after a long battle with multiple health issues, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Steven was born January 17, 1951 in St. Cloud, MN, to Richard H. and Eva V. (Kozitka) Medeck. He married Sharon Wakeman on July 2, 1977 in Duelm, MN. Steven was employed by Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad from 1969 until his retirement in 1989. He attended Atonement Lutheran Church and was a member of St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622. Steven loved fishing and hunting. He loved being around and visiting people, and especially enjoyed talking with the elderly. Steven also had a great love for dogs, and over the years that included Snuggles, Butchie, Buffie Ann and currently, Buddie.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Medeck of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Douglas Medeck of Clearwater, MN; sisters, Linda Medeck of Annandale, MN; and Julie Medeck of St. Michael, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
