Joyce R. Tourand, age 92, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, July 2, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Joyce was born on March 12, 1918 in Milwaukee, WI to Elmer & Mabel (Fjeld) Solberg. She married William Tourand on June 3, 1940 in Red Lake Falls, MN. Joyce was a certified judge for Minnesota Horticulture, election judge and Campfire Leader. She was a member of the St. Cloud Flower and Garden Club, Care Givers, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was a member of Eunice Circle and Welca.
Survivors include sons and daughters, Jerome J. (Linda) Tourand of Waite Park, MN; William S. “Bill” (Onie) Tourand of Casa Grande, AZ; Mary (Ralph) Robb of Woodburn, Oregon; Betty Ann Serie of Cambridge, MN; Catherine F. (Syl) Stang of Sartell, MN; C. Peter (Diane) Tourand of St. Cloud, MN; Marsha J. Tourand of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Betty Mae Nelson of Brooklyn Center, MN; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William “Bill” Tourand on August 3, 1997, 2 sisters, Lucille E. Kleven and Frances H. Hogan.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
