Donald Roy Schwichtenberg, age 69, Rice, MN, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Donald was born July 26, 1940 in St. Cloud, MN to Arthur and Elizabeth (Wippich) Schwichtenberg. He was baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Donald was a 1958 graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School and also the Dunwoody Institute. He owned Cheer’s Bar in Francis Creek, WI for a few years. Donald was an avid Packer’s fan and former member of the Sauk Rapids Jaycees.
Survivors include sons and daughter, Larry (Cara) Schwichtenberg of Locust Grove, OK; Bob (fiancé, Nicole Roux) Schwichtenberg of Ramsey, MN; Donna Vaughn of Acworth, GA; Kurt (Chrissy) Schwichtenberg of Canton, GA; brother, Dwight (Sue) Schwichtenberg of Waite Park, MN; eight grandchildren, Ashly, Skye, Erin, Sydney, Brandon, Dustin, Travis and Sara; and two nieces, Kim and Julie.
He was preceded in death by his parents. |
