Myron A. Wolhart, age 90, Sauk Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Jerry Albert will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Brockway Township Cemetery, Stearns County, MN.
Myron was born March 29, 1920 in St. Cloud, MN to Raymond and Ethel (Crosby) Wolhart. He married Verona G. Pettit on October 28, 1946 in St. Cloud, MN. Myron served in the United States Army during World War II. He farmed his entire life, starting as a boy with his parents, then operating the farm with his wife, Verona, until 1989 when they moved to Sauk Rapids. Myron attended Hope Covenant Church. He loved carpentry and built his own home.
Survivors include daughters, Shirley Guzy of Sauk Rapids, MN; Gini (Terry) Greener of South Haven, MN; Joy (Paul) Hoppe of Minneapolis, MN; Janet (Doug) Peterson of Becker, MN; brothers, Lyle (Joyce) Wolhart of Sartell, MN; Merrill (Leona) Wolhart of Sacramento, CA; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Verona on February 25, 1998, and son-in-law, Gregg Guzy.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Bryan Guzy, Barbra Fellows, Trent Greener, Trevor Greener, Garry Guzy, Troy Greener, Waynne Guzy, Eric Peterson, and Mark Peterson. |
