Duane C. Heinen, age 38, Cold Spring, MN, died Friday, March 26, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a long battle with brain cancer.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at River of Life Assembly of God Church, Cold Spring, MN. Rev. Denny Curran will officiate. There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Duane was born February 12, 1972 in St. Cloud, MN to Eugene and Bernice (Kascht) Heinen. He was a 1990 graduate of Rocori High School and a graduate of the Alexandria Technical College Law Enforcement program. On September 16, 2005 Duane was united in marriage to Audrey Nieters in Cold Spring, MN. Duane was employed as a police officer for the City of Cold Spring for 11 years. He served in the United States Army Reserves, the Army National Guard and the United States Air Force Reserves. Duane was a member of River of Life Assembly of God Church, Cold Spring, MN. Duane loved spending time with his family, especially his two girls, Audrey and Hope, and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Heinen of Cold Spring, MN; daughter, Hope Heinen of Cold Spring, MN; parents, Eugene and Bernice Heinen of Richmond, MN: brother and sisters, Dennis (Christiann Hoffman) Heinen of Richmond, MN; Sharon Heinen of Wadena, MN; Linda Heinen of Richmond, MN; and Mary Kay Heinen of Bloomington, MN.
A memorial fund has been established for his daughter, Hope, at Central Minnesota Federal Credit Union, Cold Spring, MN.
