Alberta C. Ritter, age 84, Eagan, MN, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Church of Christ, St. Cloud, MN. Ron Ledford and Bruce Goodwin will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville, MN
Alberta was born May 17, 1925 in Virginia, NE to Albert and Nina (Burrows) Schuster. She married Edward J. Ritter on November 27, 1946 in Chokio, MN. They lived on the family farm, where they raised seven children, until they moved in 1966. Alberta taught in a one room school house in North Dakota and then rural Chokio, MN for 2 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Richfield, MN and was also active in 4-H with her children.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Ritter of Eagan, MN; sons and daughters, David (Beth) Ritter of Brainerd, MN; Beverly (Loren) Terlisner of St. Cloud, MN; Jerome (Susan) Ritter of St. Paul, MN; Connie (Jeff) Bennett of Honolulu, HI; Barb (Ken) Wiggins of St. Cloud, MN; Joe (Seeta) Ritter of Rosemount, MN; brother and sisters, Dean (Rita) Schuster of Chokio, MN; Virginia (Vincent) Ritter of Chokio, MN; Margie (Frank) Nelson of Ventura, CA; Janice Greer of Orem, UT; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, James Ritter.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Katie Hayhurst, Laurie Mehew, Mitch Terlisner, Nina Ritter, Lisa Ritter, Max Ritter, Michael Bennett, Matthew Ritter, Ashley Ritter, Kelly Matias and Lynette Beni.
