Ira Lyle Anderson, age 76, Sartell, MN, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Memorial services will be Monday, February 8, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church, 1144 29th Ave. N., St. Cloud, MN. Rev. John Kroschel will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Lyle was born May 6, 1933 in Blackduck, MN to Claude C. and Phyllis (Brooks) Anderson. He graduated from Blackduck High School in 1951. On March 12, 1955, Lyle married LaVerne Hesla at Zion Lutheran Church in Blackduck, MN. He was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone, starting in 1951 as a lineman and retiring in 1988 as an OS Plant Instructor. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodcarving.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne Anderson of Sartell, MN; sons and daughter, Jeffery Anderson of San Diego, CA; Jay (Andrea) Anderson of Woodbury, MN; Jean Anderson of Farmington, MN; brothers, Robert Bud (Kay) Anderson of Blackduck, MN; James (Pat) Anderson of Dillon, MT; David (Lisa) Anderson of St. Paul, MN; and five grandchildren, Remy Anderson-Marlatt, Olivia Anderson, Sara Anderson, Weston Chapman and Alyssa Chapman
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are preferred to the Tri-County Humane Society.
