Marilyn “Mugs” E. Mancuso, age 66, of Big Lake, MN died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at her home.
There will be a Memorial gathering to celebrate her her life on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at McPete’s Sports Bar and Lane, Big Lake, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Mugs was born April 23, 1943 in San Rafael, CA to Ellsworth J. and Irene A. (Beaver) Martin. She grew up in Staples, MN, where she was active in theater, received awards in speech and drama. Mugs graduated from Staples High School, Class of 1961. She married Edward A. Mancuso on December 10, 1976 in Anoka, MN. Mugs worked selling pull tabs for several different organizations in Big Lake and was known locally as the POW - MIA lady. Survivors include her husband, Ed Mancuso of Big Lake, MN; son and daughter, Chad Erbe of Warroad, MN; Brenda Erbe of Big Lake, MN; brother and sisters, William J. Martin of Fargo, ND; Kitt (Bob) Carroll of Jenks, OK; Margo (Steven, Sr.) Hoemberg of Staples, MN; and Marjean (Howard) Meyer of Okatie, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lena Glorene Erbe, and sister Marian Carroll.
