     Douglas “Boots” H. Randolph, age 52, Waite Park, MN died Friday, January 8, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Dr. Ed Morgan will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Doug was born March 16, 1957 in Highland Park, Illinois to Fred and Helen (Root) Randolph. He graduated from Evanston High School, Evanston, Il, received his undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University and MA degree from St. Scholastica. Doug was a member SCSU hockey team from 1975-1981. He played in the East-West College All Star Hockey Game in 1981 and was named the MVP. Doug Married Brenda Voigt on May 23, 1981 in St. Augusta, MN. They later divorced. Doug married Stephanie Hyatt Pentz on July 8, 2000 in Lutsen, MN. He was the CEO of Computers Etc. of MN from 1987 - 2000. Doug was then an instructor at Minnesota School of Business, St. Cloud Technical College and St. Scholastica. He was a founding member of the Acacia Fraternity at SCSU, and a founding member of Hind Site Alliance, an active member and coach of St. Cloud Youth Hockey Association and Waite Park Babe Ruth Baseball Association, a Cub Scout Leader, and member of First Presbyterian Church, St. Cloud, MN. Doug also helped start the first practice group of Spring Forest Qigong in St. Cloud.
     Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Randolph of Waite Park, MN; son, Jackson Randolph of Waite Park, MN; daughters, Katie Randolph of St. Cloud, MN; Shannan Randolph of St. Paul, MN; stepsons, Isaac Pentz of Waite Park, MN; Charlie Pentz of Waite Park, MN; brother, Bruce Randolph of Las Vegas, NV; Mark (Claudia) Randolph of Aurora, IL; Brett Randolph of Chicago, IL; Bryan (JoEllen) Randolph of DePere, WI; sister, Laura Randolph of Schaumburg, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Meggan Randolph on April 3, 1991.
     Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Randolph, Mark Randolph, Brett Randolph, Bryan Randolph, Isaac Pentz and Charlie Pentz.
