     Joseph “Joe” D. Blitvich, age 49, St. Cloud, MN, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Clearwater, MN.
     Funeral services will be Monday, November 2, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Entombment will be a private ceremony in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Joe was born October 19, 1960 in St. Cloud, MN to Richard L. and Marilyn E. Blitvich. He was a 1979 graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School. On May 2, 1987 he was united in marriage to Deborah A. Henschell in St. Cloud, MN. Joe was general manager of Sammy’s Pizza Restaurant and Lounge to which he had made a lifetime commitment. At Sammy’s Joe loved greeting people with a smile. Joe was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was an avid hockey and baseball coach, but most of all just loved spending time with his two sons. His smile and sense of humor will be missed.
     Survivors include his wife, Deb Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Jared and Isaak Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; parents, Richard and Marilyn Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; brothers and sisters, Steven (Becky) Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; Thomas (Pilar) Blitvich of Cornelius, NC; Roxanne (Andy) Anderson of Escondido, CA; Suzanne Blitvich of St. Cloud, MN; and 2 nieces and 9 nephews.
     Memorials are preferred.
