Margaret G. Talbert, age 92, St. Cloud, MN, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at The Legends of Heritage Place, Sartell, MN.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM at St. Benedict’s Senior Center Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at St. Benedict’s Center Chapel on Wednesday. Burial will be in Benton County Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Margaret was born October 31, 1916 in Ada, MN to William E. and Lillian Mae (Bowen) Smith. She married Glenn B. Talbert on April 19, 1940 in St. Cloud, MN. Margaret was an active member of First United Methodist Church and also an active volunteer at the Salvation Army. She was named Salvation Army Volunteer of the Year in 2001 and 2005.
Survivors include her sons, Douglas (Donna) Talbert of Mount Pleasant, SC; Denis (Judy) Talbert of Crosslake, MN; G. Bruce Talbert of Arvada, CO; Craig Talbert of Minnetonka, MN; sisters, Bernice Foss of Sauk Rapids, MN; Helen Coulson of Belle Plaine, MN; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn on October 23, 1986, and daughter-in-law, Lynn Talbert.
