Richard A. Brown, age 67, Rice, MN died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, September 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2009 from 3:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Richard was born September 5, 1942 in Bismarck, ND to Roy and Maxine (See) Brown. He married Donna M. Seelen on August 24,1990 in St. Cloud, MN. Richard served in the United States Air Force for 16 years and then worked for the Veterans Administration for 5 years, retiring from the Veterans Administration Medical Center completing 21 years in the service. Richard was also employed as an oil field agent and managed the Angushire Apartments and other apartments complexes for 18 years. He was a member of Church of the Immaculate Conception of Rice, MN, Knights of Columbus and Waite Park American Legion Post #428.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Brown of Rice, MN; sons and daughters, Ben (Carla) Brown of Minot, ND; Danny (Darlene) Brown of Minot, ND; Eugene Brown of Minot, ND; Claudia (Kevin) Paulson of Williston, ND; Charlene (Mike) Radke of Bismarck, ND; Annette (Terry) Fix of Minot, ND; stepsons, Tom (Vicki) Seelen of St. Cloud, MN; Tim (Kris) Seelen of St. Cloud, MN; brothers and sisters, Bob (Dee) Brown of Bismarck, ND; Bill (Rhonda) Brown of Sterling, ND; Rosa Lee (Clayton) Wolt of Sterling, ND; Sharon Brown of Bismarck, ND; Mary Brown of Bismarck, ND; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Richard was very proud that two of his grandsons are serving in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Vicki Schimetz and an infant sister, Roy Ann Brown.
Memorials are preferred.
