     Joan F. Billadeau, age 70, St. Joseph, MN died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Assumption Home, Cold Spring, MN.
     A Memorial Mass celebrating Joan’s life will be Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph, MN. Fr. Joseph Feders, OSB will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Joan was born July 19,1939 in St. Cloud, MN to Roman G. and Theresa (Mayer) Meyer. She married Donald F. Billadeau Jr. on July 30, 1973 in St. Joseph, MN. Joan was employed as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, St. Cloud for almost 20 years. In 1983 Joan and Donald moved to Mesa, AZ where she was employed by the US Veterans Administration Hospital in Phoenix, from 1984 until her retirement in 2000, as senior teller. They moved to St. Joseph, MN in 2002. Joan was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Telephone Pioneers of America and National Association of Federal Employees Union.
     Survivors include her husband, Donald of St. Joseph, MN; brothers and sisters, Marilyn (Francis) Court of St. Joseph, MN; Rosemary Meyer of St. Joseph, MN; George (Kathy) Meyer of Angora, MN; Lois (Bruce) Berry of Minneapolis, MN; Eileen Zurnieden of Otsego, MN; James (Maura) Meyer of Rogers, MN; Mary (Keith) Dombrovski of Paynesville, MN; Gerald (Judy) Meyer of St. Joseph, MN; sister-in-law, Joyce Billadeau, many nieces , nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, one niece, one great niece and one great nephew.
