Gregory Lee Janovec, age 60, St. Cloud, MN died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 28, 2009 at 12:00 (NOON) at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Greg was born September 26, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN to Edward J. and Mary E. (Bishop) Janovec. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Greg married Leslie Lerohl on January 17, 1987 in Minneapolis, MN. He was employed by Brown Minneapolis Tank and Fabrication, Eagan, MN for 23 years and then Le Jeune Steel, Minneapolis, MN for 2 years. They moved to Pine River, MN in 1992. Greg moved to St. Cloud, MN in 2003. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Pine River, MN.
Greg is survived by daughters, Caitlyn Janovec, Autumn Janovec and son, Nicholas Janovec, and their mother, Leslie Janovec all of Pine River, MN; son, Jason Ludders of Fridley, MN; sister, Carol Morris of Spring Lake Park, MN; and nephews, Andrew (Tammy) Morris of Andover, MN and Jeff Morris of Spring Lake Park, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Brittany Christine Janovec on September 30, 1988, and one brother, Jerome Janovec.
