Gene Caserotti, age 88, St. Cloud, MN, formerly of Detroit, MI, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Paul Dare and Rev. Jon Riggert will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Gene was born December 31, 1920 in Leadville, CO. He married Margaret H. Weiland on September 4, 1948 in Detroit, MI. Gene served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed as a soft goods engineer for Fingerhut. Gene was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, RSVP and volunteered at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home and the St. Cloud Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Hardie-Sable of St. Cloud, MN; son, John (Debra) Caserotti of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Celia Petterle of Detroit, MI; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret, on April 14, 2003, son, Richard Caserotti and five sisters, Virginia, Anna, Mary, Pauline and Sylvia.
Pallbearers will be Robert Sable, Charles Sable, Kenneth Lock, Bryan Stauning, John Nyman and John Caserotti.
Memorials are preferred to Good Shepherd Community Foundation. |
