Gabrielle Elizabeth Murphy was born and left this life on July 21, 2009. Today, Gabrielle touches the face of God. During her time here, she touched everyone who loved her in that deep reach of the heart that words cannot describe.
Gabrielle was the most perfect combination of her parents, Benjamin and Rachel. She has thick black hair, her mother’s gentle face, and her father’s soft hands and feet. Gabrielle’s family was completely devoted to her and looked forward to her birth with great hope and anticipation. She leaves this world having been loved in the most pure, innocent, and passionate way possible. Although not with us in person, she will be with us always.
Gabrielle is survived her her parents, Benjamin and Rachel Murphy of St. Cloud; grandparents, Brian and Janel Murphy and Michael and Beverly Schmitt of St. Cloud; aunts and uncles, Andrew and Erin Murphy, Keenan Murphy, Laura Schmitt and her fiancé, Matt Smiles, Katelyn Schmitt, and Michelle Schmitt; cousin Abigail Murphy; great grandparents, Marie Brutger, Jim and Lou Murphy, Mary Mohs (Leisen) Bartholomew and Margaret Schmitt; and a loving family of cousins and great aunts and uncles.
Gabrielle was preceded in death by her brother, who left us before birth on July 18, 2008; and great grandfathers, Arthur Brutger, Robert A. Mohs and James Schmitt.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 24, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM on Friday, July 24 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Gabrielle’s memory to the Family Birthing Center at the St. Cloud Hospital.
