     LeRoy B. Davis, age 85, St. Cloud, MN died peacefully at his home on Friday, May 29, 2009.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Joel Sund will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, June 1, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. A Prayer service will be at 6:30 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake, MN.
     LeRoy was born November 29, 1923 in Clear Lake, MN to Judd E. and Lottie (Cater) Davis. He was united in marriage to Dolores Golembeck on August 31, 1951 in Foley, MN. LeRoy worked at Weber’s Music as an instrument repairman for 5 years, Lantz Lenscraft for 11 years and then at Eye Kraft for 28 years, retiring happily in 1985. Despite his disability, LeRoy took great pride in being able to provide for his family without any assistance. He was a proud and independent man, a devoted husband and dedicated father. From early on he enjoyed horses, being outdoors, country music, John Deeres, Fords and a good practical joke. His wit was quick and his morals high.
     Survivors include his wife, Dolores Davis of St. Cloud, MN; son and daughters, Randy Davis of St. Cloud, MN; Vicki (Jerry Kenning) Davis of St. Cloud, MN; and Diane (Dwayne) Weigle of Alexandria, MN; one grandson, Shawn (KD) Davis; twin great grandsons, Colt and Damien; and brother-in-law, Ira Grove of Rantoul, IL.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Charlotte Grove.
     Memorials are preferred to Tri-County Humane Society or Faith Lutheran Church.
