     Edith L. Mickelsen, age 88, St. Cloud, MN died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Calvary Community Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Matthew Molesky will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, May 11, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Calvary Community Church, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Schroeder Cemetery, Schroeder, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Edith was born May 31, 1920 in Spooner, WI to William H. and Ivy (Ghoslin) McKeever. She grew up in Grand Marais, MN where she attended school. On February 15, 1943 Edith married Clarence Mickelsen in Duluth, MN. After their retirement, Edith and Clarence wintered in Fort Myers, FL and summered in Schroeder, MN. Edith moved to St. Cloud in 1992. She attended Calvary Community Church.
     The grace Edith received from Jesus Christ was one she believed in passing on through gifts of friendship, hospitality, encouragement and quiet unassuming manner.
     Survivors include son, Russell (Colleen) Mickelsen of St. Cloud, MN; daughters, Myrna (Ted) Weiden of Calgary, Canada; Joan Gjermo of Clearwater, FL; Peggy (Carl) Sannes of St. Paul, MN; sister, Iris (John) Parrott of Indian River, MI; eight grandchildren, Joyce (Warren) Pearson, Eric (Beth) Weiden, Corey Sannes, Amy Sannes, Sally (Michael) Fee, Wade (Jennifer) Mickelsen, Kelsey Mickelsen and Spencer Mickelsen; four great grandchildren, Allison Pearson, Gabriel Fee, Leah Pearson, and Xavier Mickelsen; and faithful companion, Millie.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence, on March 24, 1987, three brothers, Fay, Rodney and Roger McKeever, and one sister Merieta Altrichter
