Elaine G. Krengel, age 74, Hudson, WI, died Tuesday, March 24,2009 at the Hudson Hospital and Clinic, Hudson, WI.
At Elaine’s request there will be no services. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Elaine was born March 23, 1935 in St. Cloud, MN to Alfred H. and Fern H. (Vinton) Grewe. She married Homer “Kris” Krengel on June 25, 1954. Elaine attended St. Cloud Technical High School, St. Cloud State Univ. and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of Wisconsin, River Falls. She also held an advanced degree in Hororary Astrology from London, England. Elaine was a Certified Public Accountant and also owned and operated Midwest Dictation Service. She was also instrumental in designing software to make her dictation business even more effective. Elaine was very fond of dogs and was active with Helping Paws and the local animal shelters. She loved her years of living on the St. Croix River.
Survivors include a sister, Wanda Orth of St. Cloud, MN; nieces and nephews, Nancy (Roger) Handrich of St. Cloud, MN; Mark (Kathy) Orth of Isle, MN; Jay (Beth Johnstone) Orth of St. Cloud, MN; Dr. Holly Orth of Sartell, MN; Jodi Orth of St. Cloud, MN; 11 grand nieces and grand nephews and her beloved dog, Taffy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kris on August 10, 1987, and brother, Alfred Grewe, Jr.
At her family’s request, memorials are preferred to Helping Paws or donor’s choice.
