Gladys A. Roske, age 81, died Friday, January 16, 2009 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell, MN. Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2009 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Christian Women Prayer service will be 4:30 PM and Parish Prayers will be at 5:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
Gladys was born on May 3, 1927 in Collegeville, MN to Henry and Loretta (Abfalter) Winkelman. She married Raymond Roske on September 25, 1946 in St. Cloud, MN. Gladys worked as a cashier at St. Cloud Technical College and then at Apollo High School until she retired in 1991. She was a member of Christian Women and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell, MN.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Roske of Sartell, MN; sons and daughters, Gary (Amy) Roske of St. Cloud, MN; Bob (Pamela) Roske of Melrose, MN; Kevin Roske of St. Cloud, MN; Mark Roske (David Potter) of Plymouth, MN; Mary (Dave) Roske-Groth of Brooklyn Center, MN; Bonnie Roske of St. Cloud, MN; son-in-law, Bob Anderson of Melrose, MN; Five grandchildren: MeiLe (Randy) Linn, LeShaing (Ed) Hawthorne, Jennifer (Rhonda Albers) Anderson, Jessica Anderson, and Trent Roske; seven great grandchildren; and brother, Leonard Winkelman of Brainerd, MN.
Gladys was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Anderson, parents, one sister, Lorraine and two brothers, Edwin and Vernon.
