Raymond M. Hanson, age 69, Clearwater, MN died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta, MN.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Ray was born November 6, 1939 in Duluth, MN to Olaf A. and Anna E. (Bredde) Hanson. He graduated from Alden High School, Alden, MN in 1958. Ray graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with a degree in Accounting. He married Marlene M. Cooper on June 29, 1963 in Austin, MN. Ray worked for Munsingwear for 20 years and then for VF Corp. for 20 years retiring in 2001. He served in the Minnesota Air National Guard for six years. Ray was a member of Clearwater Lions Club and Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene M. Hanson of Clearwater, MN; daughters, Cynthia R. (Martin E.) Bogart of Rogers, MN; Wendy K. (Mark D.) Neu of Rogers, MN; five grandchildren, Ryan Bogart, Jennifer Bogart, Kyle Bogart, Mitchell Neu and Brittany Neu; sister, Evelyn (Brad) Woolard of Maple Grove, MN and sister-in-law, Ann Hanson of Osceola, WI; niece and nephews, Susan (Kevin) Asmus, Mark Woolard and Tim (Susan) Woolard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernest Hanson.
Pallbearers will be Marty Bogart, Ryan Bogart, Kyle Bogart, Mark Neu, Mitchell Neu and Tim Woolard.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice House. |
