     Eva V. Medeck, age 81, Clearwater, MN died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
     Memorial services will be Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fairhaven, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fairhaven, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Eva was born April 2, 1927 in Staples, MN to Conrad and Viola (Lehman) Kozitka. In 1945 she graduated High School at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and attended St. Cloud Business School, St. Cloud, MN. She married Richard H. Medeck, on June 28, 1947 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN. The couple made their home in Waite Park and St. Augusta before moving to the Fairhaven area in 1966.
     Eva enjoyed reading, camping, and occasional trips to the casino, especially Las Vegas. She loved cooking, canning, shopping, and visiting with, and meeting people. Eva is a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fairhaven, MN.
     Survivors include her sons and daughters, Linda Medeck of Annandale, MN, Steven (Sharon) Medeck of St. Cloud, MN, Douglas Medeck of Clearwater, MN, and Julie Medeck of St. Michael, MN; brothers Donald Kozitka of Staples, MN, David (Shirley) McArdle of Federal Way, WA, and Gerald (Susan) McArdle of Woodbury, MN; sisters, Shirley Oltman of Sauk Rapids, MN, and Grace (Delbert) Stewart of South Haven, MN, and her constant and loving companion Boo the cat.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard in June 2002; brothers, Raymond, Harold, and Ivan, and sisters, Irene, and Mabel.
