     Timothy Roger Maehren, age 20, Rice, MN, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 of a canoe accident near Crosslake, MN.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Timothy was born September 8, 1987 in St. Cloud, MN to Jacob and Michelle (Gangl) Maehren, Jr. He graduated from Sartell High School in 2006. Timothy was a very athletic person who loved to play basketball, disc golf, ride bicycle and football. He had a passion for the Vikings. There were not too many days Tim didn’t wear something Vikings. Tim enjoyed a wide variety of music especially contemporary Christian music. Tim also loved the outdoors, especially going up north to the cabin to go fishing, although he would fish anywhere.
     He was a member of the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith. Most important in his life was participating in church activities and youth camps. Tim served as a junior counselor at Long Lake Bible Camp in Minnesota. From 2001 to 2006 he participated in family Bible Camp in the Cascade Mountains in the state of Washington.
     Survivors include his parents, Jacob and Michelle Maehren of Rice, MN; brothers, Thomas Maehren Sr. of Rice, MN; Noah Maehren of Rice, MN; grandparents, Jacob and Carolyn Maehren Sr. of St. Cloud, MN; Roger and Mary Jane Gangl of Sartell, MN; and nephews, Thomas Maehren, Jr., and Hunter Smith.
     He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Maehren.
     Memorials are preferred.
