     Ruth I. Sartell, age 78, St. Cloud, MN joined her loves, Richard and Julee Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
     Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Sartell, MN.
     Ruth Sartell was born August 19, 1929 in Valley City, North Dakota to Anton and Alma (Sundley) Peterson. She graduated from Valley City High School, Valley City, ND and obtained her teaching licensure before moving to Fargo, ND, where she was employed by Standard Oil. It was there that Ruth met Richard A. Sartell, they were married on May 14, 1955 in Moorhead, MN. She has lived in St. Cloud since. Ruth received her BS Degree in special education from St. Cloud State and taught at St. Augusta and the Children’s Home.
     Ruth was a true romantic; she loved to read mysteries and romance novels, had an awesome collection of ornate jewelry, and was an accomplished cross stitcher, stitching complicated scenes of Victorian couples skating, and ivy covered cottages, she had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed a good story. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN.
     Ruth is survived by her stepson, Richard M. (Diane) Sartell of Moose Lake, MN, seven grandchildren, Richard L.(Mayuree Tanawongsuwon) Sartell, Joelynn (Jeffrey) Lahr, Steven (Dawn) Sartell, Nicholas (Mia) Sartell, Tiffany Bengtson, Megan (Chris) Thorstenson, Lace (Randy) Davis, sister-in-law, DeLoris Sartell, of Sartell, MN, 18 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, many nieces, nephews, and close friends, Kathy, Dorothy, Dorothy and Becky.
     She was preceded in death by the loves of her life, husband, Richard, in 1993, and, sadly her daughter, Julee, in August 2007, she was also preceded by her stepson and good friend Samuel, in 2003, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
