Gilbert Henry Kosbab, age 83, formerly of Clear Lake, MN, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be private.
Gilbert Kosbab was born November 27, 1924 in Rockville Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Herman and Catherine (Lommel) Kramer Kosbab. He attended school at Roosevelt, St. Anthony's and St. Mary's Cathedral. As an adult, Gilbert lived in several places where he worked as a laborer. He owned and operated his own pig farm for several years and worked at a storage facility for the last few years. Gilbert was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved to garden. He was especially known for his way with tomatoes.
Survivors include a half sister, Catherine Hall of St. Cloud, MN; many nieces and nephews; and long time friend, Clarence Bromenschenkel of St. Cloud, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, half brothers and sisters, Melvin, Walter, Leonard, Leo and Donald Kramer, Alma Borresch and Alvina Van Horn.
