     Glendore E. Sporleder, Wayzata, MN, formerly of St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids, MN died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, MN.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Revs. Paul Dare and Dave Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Glendore was born May 17, 1915 in Olivia, MN to Goodwin and Erna (Darkow) Emerson. She grew up in Renville, MN where she attended and graduated from Renville High School. Glendore was the star of her high school basketball team. On April 8, 1938 she married Richard L. Sporleder in Renville, MN. They moved to St. Cloud where together they owned and operated Sporleder’s Heating, Plumbing and Sheet Metal. Glendore was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Evening Guild, Bible Study and Sewing Circle. She also enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and 500, sewing and dancing. Richard and Glendore were members of many dance clubs in the St. Cloud area. In her later years, Glendore was a resident of Ridgeview Place of Sauk Rapids, MN and for the past year and half she has been a resident of Meridian Manor of Wayzata, MN.
     Survivors include daughters, Marcia (Stephen) Starr-Barbaris of Wayzata, MN; Wendy Starr of Evergreen, CO; three grandsons, Jason, Brandon and Nathan Voronyak; and two great grandchildren, Abigail and Gabriel.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard on February 12, 1995; three sisters, and one brother.
     Mother was a beautiful lady in so many ways, she loved to laugh and socialize with others. We will always remember her smile and she will be deeply missed.
