Marie H. Boatman, age 95, Clear Lake, MN, died Monday, November 12, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 16, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Revs. Paul Dare and Dave Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Marie Boatman was born October 6, 1912 in Elk River, MN to Ted and Ida (Tuchtenhagen) Banke. On November 7, 1947, she married L. H. “Pete” Boatman at Redeemer Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Marie was self-employed as a beautician. She enjoyed gardening and birdwatching at their lake home and especially loved fishing. Marie taught her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to fish and so much more. Marie was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Boatman of Clear Lake, MN; sons and daughters, Ted (Marge) Boatman of St. Cloud, MN; Joey (Rosalyn) Boatman of Boulder, CO; Gretchen (Roger) Dykhuizen of Sartell, MN; Jerry Ann Anderson of Clear Lake, MN; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elvera Tennison, brothers; Werner and Harold Banke; and an infant sister.
