     Martha A. Kuusinen, age 89, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Park Garden Apartments.
     Funeral services will be Monday, April 26, 2004 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Dan Schneider-Bryan will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, April 25, 2004 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home,
    St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Hibbing Park Cemetery, Hibbing, MN.
     Martha Kuusinen was born May 4, 1914 in Hibbing, MN to Nester and Fiina (Wainio) Maki. Martha was employed by the St. Cloud Veterans Administration Medical Center as a secretary in the chaplain’s office for 35 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer of the Dorcas Circle.
     Survivors include a son, Loren Kuusinen of Burnsville, MN; a daughter, Ann (Maynard) Engen of Stevens Point, WI; five grandchildren, Scott Kuusinen, Sandra (Pedro Romon Diaz) Diaz-Kuusinen, Colleen Kuusinen, Gary (Teri) Engen, Jean (Randy) Marten and Randy (Pat) Engen; five great grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan and Kira Engen and Abby and Michael Marten; and nephews and nieces, Richard (Esther) Maki of Ironwood, MI; Oliver Putkonen of Chisholm, MN; Bob (Sue) Maki of Minneapolis, MN; Teri (Tom) McKusky of Hibbing, MN; and Shirley (Floyd) Erickson of Bessemer, MI.
     Martha was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Urho and Lunti Maki and four sisters, Nellie Louko, Esther Solomon, Amelia Putkonen and Helmi Kujala.
     Pallbearers will be Scott Kuusinen, Randy Engen, Gary Engen, Randy Marten, Richard Maki and Floyd Erickson.
