     Agatha Jean (Thelen) Young, age 84, Sauk Rapids, MN died, Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
     Funeral services will be Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
     Agatha was born November 9, 1922 in Sanborn, North Dakota to William and Veronica (Stroh) Strang. She married Earl Frank Thelen on February 22, 1944 in Onamia, MN. He died on May 28, 1966. Agatha married Lyle Edward Young on July 19, 1969 in Sauk Rapids, MN. He died on January 8, 1988. Agatha was employed in food service at St. Cloud State University. She also catered for weddings and special occasions, and especially enjoyed cake decorating. For many years, Agatha ran a veterans group home care service in her home.
     Survivors include sons and daughter, William (Marion) Thelen of Sauk Rapids, MN; Michael Thelen of St. Cloud, MN; Shirley (James) Callan of Waite Park, MN; brother and sisters, Clifford (Natalie) Strang of Onamia, MN; Bertha Milton of Onamia, MN; Illamae Dobson of Brainerd, MN; five grandchildren, Jason and Jamie Callan, Jody Lockhart, Ryan and Amanda Thelen; and four great grandchildren, Kallie and Emily Callan, and Gabriella and Bryan Sanchez.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl and Lyle, twin brother, Robert “Bud”, brothers, Mervin, Lee, and Thomas, sisters, Edith and Muriel, granddaughter, Erica, and great grandson, Isaac.
