Tony Barich, age 81, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Tony will be Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral Upper Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Monday, June 4, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
Tony was born September 23, 1925 in Lead, SD to Matt and Helen (Percevich) Barich. He served in the United States Army in the South Pacific. Tony married Shirlie M. Roberts on June 19, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN. He was employed by Dayton’s, Holes-Webway and then founded Har-Bound Industries. Tony was a member of the MN State Bar Assoc., American Bar Assoc., American Legion Post 76, St. Cloud, VFW Post 428, St. Cloud, St. Cloud Granite Rotary Club and St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife, Shirlie Barich of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Michael Barich of St. Paul, MN; Stephen (Rachel) Barich of Minnetonka, MN; and John Barich of San Francisco, CA; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; brother, Steve Barich of Hermitage, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tony’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for the outstanding love and care that they provided during Tony’s stay.
