     Darlene S. Skillingstad, age 72, Waite Park, MN, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.
     Funeral services will be Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Rev. Dee Pederson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Darlene was born January 20, 1935 in Milroy, MN to Roy and Edna (Johnson) Mickelsen. She married Ramon “Ray” Skillingstad in October 1975. Darlene was employed as a bookkeeper for Moorhead Machine until 1975. She was a member of Red Hatter’s Club. Darlene loved crafts and crafting, playing cards and traveling.
     Survivors include her husband, Ray Skillingstad of Waite Park, MN; son, Mike (Anni) Skillingstad of Ham Lake, MN; step sons, Dennis (Eileen) Skillingstad of St. Cloud, MN; David Skillingstad of Minneapolis, MN; step daughters, Lynette (John) Taylor of Brookings, SD; Linda (Jim) Skillingstad of Minneapolis, MN; mother, Edna Mickelsen of St. Anthony, MN; brother, Randall (Kay) Mickelsen of Burnsville, MN; sister, Lila (Ron) Stephenson of Big Lake, MN; ten step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her father, step grandson, Andrew Skillingstad, sister, Marilyn Peterson, and brother, Dale Mickelsen.
